It is Lent. Easter is coming again, harsh and glorious. One must be poor, powerless. One must hope against all hope. But it’s by no means easy to reconcile my people’s urgent survival-needs, with the truth (or mirage) or hope as traditional ‘Christianity’ has represented it. Radical reality can’t be so tidily controlled.
